- 1 onion, chopped
- 5 garlic cloves, chopped
- juice of 2 lemons
- 1/2 tsp ground cloves
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 2 cm piece of ginger, grated
- 2 tbsp olive oil
make a paste from all ingredients using a blender. add more olive oil if it's too dry.
